If you are still struggling to find a product large enough then this type of rubber backed washable mat is perfect. You can cut it to fit either way up and wash them when they get dirty. You Just need to shop around for the cheapest

I have bought and trimmed with a pair of scissors these rubber mats from Argos at £7.99

Whilst at the nec yesterday spoke to a gent who does carpets etc for mg's, he is prepared to make some for me based on me supplying templates etc, in carpet with heel mat. I won't divulge the name of the co until they arrive some time in Dec.[
tenerife beckons for 10 days!!] and I have checked them over.

Have today received the mats ordered before I went away.
as requested they were done in dark green and are virtually indistinguishable from the morgan carpets, nearly too good to use as overmats!! Anyway am very pleased with them and for 30notes excellent value. The firm is mirrortrim.co.uk, they do need templates for any work as they seem to do most stuff for mgs.

I have thought about carpets for the 4 seater, but I have a concern that they might just harbour moisture and then do mischief to the wooden floor, is this an unfounded fear on my part?

Thanks to John B....I've just ordered a pair of mats in black carpet from Mirrortrim.co.uk. What a nice helpful company to deal with!
