3Gs asked Liberty Ace 002 to join TM so they could talk to each other, I guess there was no other way to communicate.
Yeah I saw that - probably have been easier just to give his number/email address to the seller to pass on. They appeared to know each other

I just looked through the bid stack. It jumped just under 24,000.00 in one bid - definitely a rigged auction....

What the hell is going on with the bidding on BAT, firstly a way overpriced Liberty Ace and now a way overpriced Roadster, there seems to be more people with money than sense or insatiably inflated egos, maybe both.

The Roadster was rather expensive, but compared to the significant increase in M3W second hand values the Ace price does not look too bad.

Being serious, this was a beautiful example and the market will pay for classic reliability and style The Trad market is alive and well...

Although the winning bidder is now struggling to get it insured - been refused by Hagerty. May be they dodged a bullet. I wonder what price it would have gone for without the magical 'doubling bid' - may have reached the same, or topped out at £10K less. Interestingly the seller had allegedly previously turned down a higher offer. Bet he's kicking himself now. Edit - I see we have a new user sign up to TM - "Liberty Ace 002". I imagine 'Talk Liberty Ace' Forum would be a fairly lonely place, with only about 9 members.... 3Gs asked Liberty Ace 002 to join TM so they could talk to each other, I guess there was no other way to communicate. I suspect the real aim is to introduce a new ower into the forum world of three-wheeled motoring He will be able to read all about the joys of M3W ownership that he will miss out on.... .

That little bug is brilliant. Some slightly odd decisions?
Custom stuff front to rear but he used the scary Beetle torsion bar front suspension with those wheels and tyres!
No wasted options there then.
I am guessing 500-700kg with 180hp, short wheelbase, definitely a handful at at higher speeds.
Great value if you know how to do stuff yourself. Oh and hope his/her welding was GOOD or it qualifies as a squishy.
How did that get a permit as a Beetle for road use, that's funny! SOLD US$ 31,250.00 - good luck getting that registered for road use in most jurisdictions But what a magnificent bit of work....
