It's a five speed box the 6 speed is only used on the top model MX5.
The normal 2 litre model is 5 speed.

I thought you only love White Supersports. Can't see why this car has hung around for so long unless the factory are planning to keep it as it's does look fab.

White is the best colour of course  I believe you're spot on and they're keeping it as a demo, otherwise they'll keep selling the demo and buildng another

I only had a Mk1 5 - would have liked taller gearing - or a tall 6th (but the 6 cog box had little increase in gearing at the top end so no point swapping in the newer box).
Heinz: +4SS has the 5 speed box.

According to Greg D-S they bought in engine and gearbox for the +4SS.

Are there any standard Ford gearboxes any longer? Standard meaning rear wheel drive that is!
