Now that they have proved they can design a modern approach to the three wheeler, they must be itching to design something perhaps akin to the Eva GT…any designer worth their salt would be! Yes, keep the traditional Morgan look with the current range but something that could compete with the likes of Aston Martin with a wonderful bespoke leather interior and hints to the Morgan dna would be wonderful!

Hope all is well with you Jay!

If they go that route, which I think an Aero like car is likely, they need to up the game a bit. I'd be 100% up for a new Plus Four but struggling with the lack of customisation to make it feel more special than my current 4/4. I love the chassis, engine is fantastic, more room etc, but once configured it doesn't feel I'm getting a car that is twice as expensive as what I've already go. Ok, perhaps not twice when you factor in the chassis and drivetrain.

A new 'halo' car will be easily 110k and at that price point there needs to be a paradigm shift.

As for retailer stock, I wonder if this has to do with a mix of some cars not having the MY22 upgrades and the spec they are. I've been told you can get a new build in a few months so perhaps people would rather do a bespoke order. I've dropped hints that I'd be up for a Plus Four to a few retailers but truth be told, I don't get much back or a sense they are keen to make something move forward.

A good exercise Peter, it would seem on the face of it that spending this much money customers want exactly what they chose and not the factory or a dealers choice, fair enough really.
Some of those cars have been at the dealers for around 18 months now and that is dead money.

Interestingly the Classic cars are still turning over but the M3W seems to have stalled too, not a surprise with the appearance of the Super 3 I suppose.

I'm not an IT person but have tried and failed putting a pdf on here, a screenshot works though as you probably know.

Yep, that's literally a photo of my computer screen, cropped and then uploaded in the usual way.

That's a lot of cars in stock.
It's possible that this will get worse.
I could well imagine that the feeling of insecurity caused by the Ukraine war could lead to even greater reluctance to buy. In turbulent times, people prefer to sit in an SUV than in an open-top roadster.

Jens, I think you make a good point as already the scaremongers here are talking about £3,000 energy bills doh we all know we will be facing increases but not this high.
As a reference point ours is £1,200 per anum for a 3 bedroom house built in 1979 situated in a very mild climate with no tacky panels on the roof as we hate the look of them and would rather pay full price for oil and electricity.

I think there's a deal to be done if you want one, especially as a MY23 is in the pipeline making even the '22 cars old spec
