Good day All, Just came across this article which would lead me to believe a Plus Four or Six could be fully assembled by MMC and shipped to the US as a 'turn key kit car'. Morgan don't build kit cars but surly there is a loop hole there to help MMC get more product to the US. Turnkey Replica Cars Now Legal in the USA

I'm not sure how easy that is for the CX cars but they did it with trads. The new 3 wheeler I understood was built to be able to import directly. The CX cars were planned to be imported as low volume cars but Biden cancelled Trump's law on this.

Biden didn’t cancel anything - this is the same law that has been held up since the Obama administration. And yea, the CX will qualify - Morgan has already sent a “heads up” to US dealers. I’d say it’ll be another year before anything arrives here- or longer. But at least it appears as if it going to happen. I’ve had a deposit down for a PLUS four for 18 months!!

This will bode well for MMC. The US is a market that will do wonders for them. Fingers crossed for the enthusiasts, and you of course, that it's sooner than later.

Yes, but there is also an an obstacle (at least for the dealer): The US (market) is als a country with a strong consumer law. Morgan still seems to be a long way from a massive improvement in the quality of the cx range....

I am also on the waitlist for a build slot and US delivery. 3 weeks ago my dealer told me that Morgan did receive the certification for selling in the US and that slots for the US will start to be filled in the fall with late year deliveries. I hope it pans out that way ... or ideally earlier

Yes, correct, they told me it will 2023 model cars. Not sure if there would be significant changes, though.
