If the story is about the 'M3W' vs. MMC, the picture is only complete by referencing this strong Forum support, the survival kits mentioned by Bunny and the 'improvements' developed by Phil Beasley (UK) and Emil Rolando (US) to keep these things on the road.

What a good post....

Indeed an excellent post.

I'm a year into ownership but before i bought my M3W i did a lot of research mainly from this website before i bought it.

The car is going into Craig on Friday for the Upgrades which is a sizeable chunk of money considering how much it cost to buy (add all that together with owners that have had the foresight to have the upgrades and see what you get)

I've mentioned it before, but it seems that MMC have left owners high and dry (even more so now the super three is out there)

The Biggest worry for me is no spares for the X wedge, so my engine goes bang what do i end up with a very large paperweight really ? that just taking the piss ------it should be MMC steering this not this forum (no change there then)

I pick up conversations on here and people defend MMC re the M3W issues ------WHY?

So invite us to your unveiling of the Super 3 MMC in full knowledge you have quite clearly left all of the 5 Speeder owners high and dry, and the only thing you stepped up to plate on was the chassis issues (sorry Ian Parkinson) but following your issues in Cornwall would you have still been in the frame of mind during the Super 3 unveiling ? ( i know i would not)

Oh here you go buy a new Super 3 for over £55k (following specification) i wonder if people who own a 5 speeder would get a mahoosive discount if they decide to buy a Super 3 ? (i think we can all answer that one)

Rant over sorry.

I can understand your disappointment.

The M3W saga has been a significant blot on the reputation of Morgan for product quality, customer service, and their integrity.
It will be interesting to see if the "Super" can repair that reputation and financial cost

I don’t think Peter will want his book to be all negative. Of course it’s frustrating to have some half-arsed engineering decisions in a vehicle BUT it’s still mostly fun. Just not cheap or super reliable.

And - as usual for Morgan - there is now a cottage industry slowly fixing it… G56 exhaust and air intake, M3WServices rear disk and fuel lines, etc, Phil Bleazey BB mount, Centa fix and chain conversion, Torino tubeless wheels, etc etc

Thanks to all for the useful comments. I have already mentioned in the revised final chapter the concern that M3W owners have regarding future replacement parts. I have written that the MMC and S&S have a moral obligation to address this. If it is not too late I shall try to implement the corrections suggested above.

Also move the Bevel Box discussion here? Maybe add the "NVH kit" to mount the bevel box and the alternative fixing (another Bleazey mod)
Ch8 pp61 - maybe discuss the other chassis fixes and failures? Pretty sure there is more than 1...
Ch11 pp78 - Append the discussion of the engine fan as a replacement for the skip fire mode used in early cars (the "Urban Cooling Pack")
Ch14 maybe or elsewhere - more recent options like the Factory Windscreen (and the earlier option of the Fairbourne Screen), Heritage? dashboard, ...

Much more information about most of these topics in THE ESSENTIAL BUYERS GUIDE.

In the December 2020 MTWC Bulletin, there is an interview with Pete Larsen where he expresses his disappointment (to say the least) about the way he's been treated by MMC following the handover of the ACE project to them. In my view this is an important part of the whole M3W story. It's available HERE but is password protected so only available to MTWC members.

Has the revision covered the change from Euro 3 to Euro 4 and the (arguably illegal) marketing by MMC of packs to convert Euro 4s back to Euro 3 specifications?
