Advice please,
Been a bit creative and made a small storage box,ply and vinyl and hoped to have morgan wings old angel wings emblem embroidered on flap.
Local embroidery company frightened in case it causes copyright issues.
Seems plenty of items on net with emblems on badges etc for sale, but I only want this for my own use, display purpose.
Any thoughts folks.
Thanks.

If the size works, why not buy one of the numerous patches available and get it sewn on?

The problem you face under copyright is not you the end user who has no commercial interest it is the embroidery company. They are a commercial interest and are selling you the badge (I assume you are paying them for their work) without having the authorization from the owner of the mark. Highly unlikely anything would happen but I can understand the company's reluctance, costs and reputation are potentially at risk.

Do MMC own the copyright to the old style wings? I know MSCC still use it because MMC wouldn't allow them to use the new "pointy" wings.
Personally I prefer the old design as it looks more classic, I never understood why they "modernised" it when even the new cars retain the classic styling.

I've got old style wings emblem on my headrests, circa 2011,hence trying to match the design.
Seen all badges on offer, but embroidery more matching style.
Wondering if not being current design may help convince the embroidery company.

Thanks Nick,
Would like to have embroidered,as on headrests rather than sew on badge.
If all fails will go with badge.

Perhaps if MSCC would let you know who embroiders their badges, you could approach the company to do your vinyl covering logo as a one off, shouldn't break any copyright
