I only did a 20 mile blast, but it really is such a superb machine - Can't see me ever selling it because I know I'll not get anything more individual, rare or rewarding without spending very much more. Why would I do that when I have a car that gives me everything I crave as a Petrohead?

My sentiments exactly.
I’ve had many an exotic and still own a fair few but I love the S1 as it delivers something very special that the others don’t.

I’ve made the mistake of selling my previous 2 S1’s and vow never to make the same mistake again

Yes, indeed basic!

Got out for a short blast on a fabulously sunny Saturday afternoon with my 17 year old daughter as my passenger. Even managed to embarrass a couple of bikers on some twisty Surrey roads by sticking right with them before coming out of a tight right-hander (with very good visibility) on the opposite side of the road and leaving the V8 to do it's thing and leaving them behind wondering what had just happened (all down to keeping your vision up rather than a car out-dragging motorbikes)! The usual admiring glances and waves through the local villages from those who don't get to see/hear a V8 Morgan that often made the short run even more special.

We were out for a run on Thursday meeting friends at Chartwell before making our way to the Barley Mow in Tandridge for lunch. I thought Kent roads were bad, but as we crossed the border into Surrey there was a marked deterioration in the road surface. It certainly tested the new SSL suspension on my Plus 4!

I absolutely know that feeling Alan, living in Oxted. I too have the SSL kit on the Aero and it makes a positive difference and definitely adds a little compliance over the poor surface!

Last Saturday managed to take my S4 along to Morgan for a used car event which gave a great photo location before putting my car up for sale.

Hi AnDrew - stunning looking car - why are you selling as I recall you've not it too long? I think I looked at this car at Morgan London 2 our 3 years ago and it rather a lot of stone chips at the front which you or the previous owner have obviously sorted. The interior was also very nice with yellow stitching on the black leather if I recall correctly.

Hi Paul, the previous owner Dean as an automotive industry paint expert sorted the stone chips (and gave ne spare paint). I've only had the car 18 months and have only done about 2,400 miles. I'm looking to start a new build house for myself in June which will mean I''m unlikely to use the car for the next 2 summers as will mainly be driving as van and also have a Porsche which I do use in all weathers (and my girlfriend prefers it).

Cheers
P.s. have put it on Pistonheads and Car and Classic and see what happens between now and June, if doesn't sell it's likely to keep increasing in value anyway as I'm sure you've been watching too.

A glorious Easter Sunday morning so I grabbed the opportunity to take Tarka for a bimble through the New Forest before the visitors descended...
Parked outside The Cuckoo Inn Hamptworth
A great, traditional, country pub with a large beer garden and excellent local beers.
