Well we have had the M3W nearly a year, so the insurance is due.

Currently with Hiscocks.(due on the 5th of July)

Any recommendations ?

Gott and Wynne are the guys to deal with. You will find many endorsements for them on TM alone.

I've just made the switch to Gott & Wynne and what a breath of fresh air they are to deal with! And European breakdown & recovery for £22 has to be one of the bargains of the century too.

Definately no offence ment, but....

The only recommendation I have interest in when it comes to insurance, might be numerous contributions on how well treated or otherwise one was when claiming against the policy and services provided.. Not how inexpensive it might be or the number of years one has been with any company..

I can well remember an article whereby it seemed a Morgan owner , put a great deal of time and effort into fighting to keep his Morgan which was to be written off by the insurance company, a company which was brokered by a "recommended" agent used by many other Morgan owners...and where the broker seemed not to act in the best interests of the insured in question... From a dull memory the Morgan ownerultimately saved his car from being written off..

Yeah it seems we may be none too good at reading the small print until we are forced to, and only then do we tend to find some measure of dissappointment..?

Yep.

I have had two large claims in my life - one losing a rather expensive watch in a boating accident and the other was fire in an outbuilding at home.

Both times I was insured with Chubb (cars and contents/buildings) and both times the claims were settled in full with zero drama. Chubb are probably 30% more expensive than most insurers, but ver yeasy to deal with.
