I removed the sidelights on the front wings to replace the rubber pieces. Underneath was a letter "A" stamped on the wing. I was thinking, and hoping, that meant aluminum. But they are steel. Or maybe it's a "V". Or an arrow pointing back which would seem silly. Anyone know what it means? ![[Linked Image]](https://tm-img.com/images/2022/04/10/PXL_20220410_164646665.jpg)

It is a mathematical symbol meaning ‘greater than’.
In this case it refers to the first rule of Morgan ownership which states that the cost of this repair will be much greater than you anticipated.

I think as said it point to where the front of the wing is just in case you don't know.
Or maybe the metal basher was on piece work and that is his masons mark

I tend to go with Richard's thinking...an imprint in the paint. Only by sanding it down to bare metal will you know for sure it's a stamp.

I never thought to check the underside of the sidelight base. I will check it when I get home. But I hope it's not that. I like the other answers much more!
