Over the years there have been a number of threads on this subject, but this one has been prompted by a reaction received in a pub car park.
During our long weekend in Sussex, to attend Goodwood, we stayed at an excellent little pub near to Arundel.
Cars in the car park during our stay included: three Porsche, one being an early 911e, a Chevrolet Camaro and a glorious dark blue Ferrari 812 Superfast. love

The owner of the Ferrari was walking past, as we we unloading the 4/4.
“Wonderful” he said. “Do you mind if I take a photo?”
He was amazed that we had driven from Devon.
I suppose we all share the same enthusiasm, just with different sizes bank accounts?

Bud, your post brings back memories of a few similar instances which I have posted on hear in times past, one was on a small island car ferry loaded with Porsches of all types, and the lady issuing the ferry tickets informed me that of all the cars aboard, her favourite was my old Mog..

Another time while travelling in the company of a McLaren F1 with my Mog both in the hotel car park, I spotted a newly married young couple and their friends posing by the Mog taking pics.. I went out to the car park and removed the tonneau and invited them to sit in the mog for their pic session for which they were delighted... I pointed out that the McLaren was a somewhat special car, but they had no interest in that whatsoever..(-:

Obviously he had opinions on reliability. hide

I have no doubt that you would have had more fun than him in a car which is more useable than his. I really cant see the point or interest of such as an F12

That picture looks like it might be taken at The Manor House (if remember correctly) in Oban

One of our favourite hotels is Rudding Park in Harrogate (recommended), there is a parking space by the main entrance and I recall on one occasion the manager asked the owner of the black Ferrari to move it so that we could park our plus 8 there rofl

I am with you on that one Taffmog. Same experience several times including some very posh places.

Champagne district hotel they moved the owners high-end Merc out from under a canopy and put it out of the sun. When we went in they were so nice, someone asked if we were famous as they did not get that treatment (with a smile). People are so nice to Mogs.

Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

Indeed... on our first weekend with the Aero we arrived at our Cotswolds hotel. Lovely soft sandstone, an impressive wooden front door, with a gravel roundabout around the flowerbed + tall stone birdbath.
"Checking in?"
"We are"
"Let me give you a hand with your bags... ooh that's pretty. The hotel car park is across the road, but I'm sure you can leave your Morgan right where it is by the front door"

& across two days the Aero was the only motor parked by the door ;-)

I'm sure we've all had that unexpected bonus!

Will
