Are you running Avon's or AO40 Yoko's? if Avon's then try 4 front and 4 rear its all about what you feel happy with if you are running Yoko's for the road get rid of them and go back to Avon's.

Peter the factory car may well have been running on Avon's at the time of being tested I have driven the factory car when on Avons and Yoko's but the biggest difference between the Std SS and the factory SS is the 4.1 diff it's a massive advantage!!

Hi Racer

Are you running Yoko's or Avons? I tried your shock setting of 6 clicks front and 4 rear with Avons on the road. I found that the ride was very hard. Would you advise to always run a couple of clicks more on the front, is this to make the car have less understeer.

Hi Racer

The car has arrived in Germany but I´m busy and first chance to experience the car will be earliest in two weeks from now (if weather will allow).

I will drive the standard road tyres, the Avons. I´m aware that the Yoko A048 is a completely different breed of tyre. Such Yokos are fitted on my Elise which I use in the dry only. I guess that with the type of suspension provided by Morgan the Yokos may ride very hard, therefore mostly useful on tracks with an even tarmac. I will try and see, probably starting with settings referring the Avons, 4 front and 4 rear as you recommend it.

Hi Peter
indeed it would be interesting to know how the factory car was "clicked" when using the Avons (as well as to know which set up was chosen with the Yokos).

If no ones knows about the factory car settings I will ask my dealer to get infos from MMC about it - and I could post it here.

Don't expect a reply if you e-mailed. They get inundated with spam, so a telephone call will work better.

Hi guys, I think we are back to the whole quality issue again (not just the cars), as far as I'm concerned any customer email should be actioned. It is a small business with a small customer base. If we treated our customers like that we would soon be out of business.

Use the 'contact us' on their website - I got an answer within a day or two when I had an enquiry a couple of years ago.

I received a reply from the MMC today. Basically the recommendation is to start at the softest (zero) setting all round. Adjust the back only first, 2 clicks at a time and road test on the same test route (with a mix of road conditions) until you achieve a satisfactory setting for comfort etc. Then do the same with the front. I will have a play with mine on the next nice dry day and report back.

I havn't looked at or driven the car in weeks, due to the salted roads etc. So no progress to report.
