A previous owner told me that the engine is 2L. Just checked and DVLA has it as 1994cc.

According to the advert it uses the engine from a BMW 325i which should make it a 2.5l engine.

Something strange going on - perhaps the new engine hasn't been registered with the DVLA?

Is this the same car that Richard Thorne had for sale a year or so ago? If so I have driven it. Made a lovely noise.

Yes I'm pretty sure it is one and the same car.

May have had some recent work, the radiator looks very new

The engine change was done in 1993, so should be correct on the V5 (if the owner reported the engine change). A new radiator wouldn't affect a V5.

Wonder what it was insured as......

The previous owner bought it in August last year (Bloke called PhilT on the forum). Hasn't kept it long.

According to the linked thread it was on sale at RTCC in March last year, and also previously on sale at Silverstone Auctions with at least a couple of other owners listed. As it's done an average of 600miles a year it doesn't sound like it's much of a 'drivers car'. I wonder what's wrong with it? On paper it sounds really good.

Spotted on Facebook .... three wheeler with four wheels .... the rear being a close coupled twin laced onto a wide hub .... apparrently it was a factory mod for trials cars back in the day (or so the poster reckoned) though private conversions were also done in period.

You see that also on some Brough Superiors.
