Finally took the Roadster ( now known as Fifi la Fume) out for a run after a few months of winter maintenance and upgrades including an alloy radiator. A lovely bright spring morning, so down the A358 down to Minehead, stopped for a coffee near the RNLI station, then a quick check around Fifi and under.. ( no water leaks, nothing missing, all looking good ) and then back on a circular route via the nearest reclamation yard to look for roof tiles ( next house project) ..then to Taunton and back on the A358 to home.. Around 50 miles.. The replacement AVO shocks have transformed the ride, as have the forward brake reaction bars. The brakes now have more feel than previously, but the front replacement pads still need some bedding in.. So almost there... Just need the replacement rear springs fitted ( scheduled for next month at New Elms, I opted out of doing them myself due to age and hassle factor) and all will be well.....

I didn't mention it yesterday as I hadn't done my homework on the T8, apparently it's a hybrid with 448 bhp I can only imagine it must weigh a few tonnes as my Plus 8 is 190bhp on a good day and about a tonne.
Made me smile as my car is 23 years old and the T8 was a recent plate.
Mine is pretty close to 6.0S 0-60 as far as I can measure so still very relevant in todays world for my needs.

IIRC when the Plus 8 came out it was the fastest accelerating British road going sports car you could buy in the UK

Yes that's what I remember too back in 1969..together with the rather seductive adverts for it in the Autocar Mag.. It's what kindled the flame for me and why it was the first Morgan I bought undriven grin2 back in 2004 and never looked back.
I did have a frantic affair with my 4/4 Sport for 4 years and 26,000 miles which I thoroughly enjoyed but the Plus 8 is home for me, it's the endless torque and sound track for me..

Yes, I love the British way to use a MORGAN (and other nice cars).

Use it. So early this morning I want to buy something a LIDL. And my wife was out with the daily… and I want the LIDL bargain…
the coffee was cold, so a new, fresh and hot coffee or „shopping“. To big for the bike (bicycle and Harley)… after a while: it’s a MAZDA, so don‘t worry.

Keep it a little outside from the other cars in carpark and do it.

Done and very much surprised und satisfied.

And in the afternoon a real journey out in the Taunus with a Glass of wine at „Weinstand“ Walluf.

Good work Rene, it's contagious.. we have a well used LIDL 2 miles from us that knows my Morgan well..we are very lucky as we live in the heart of the countryside that we have one so close.
What we can't get at LIDL (not much) we go onto Sainsbury's and get which is about 400 metres away and they know my car well too.

I never heard of LIDL, but it seems there are many in the US. None in Connecticut where I live, but not that far away in New York state. May have to take a drive and check it out.

Pauly, over here they have what they call a middle aisle and it is always packed with man and woman bargains, quite often they have some really good tools in there it's always worth a rootle through as it changes weekly.
Their fruit and veg are cheap and always far fresher and better quality than the Sainsbury's store which they think is a little superior laugh2
