If you have the seat backs painted in body colour then they are a smooth composite/plastic as in the picture at the top of this thread. I had mine covered with PPF - see my other post in reply to Gaston.

I had the backs of the seats painted by a bodybuilder. it cost me a quarter of the price of the option. I didn't think of the PPF movie. I will do it because the paint is fragile. Thanks for the advice.

Thanks everyone ... so far, I am still looking at the UK price list for defining my specs. The US list is supposed to come over the next months, hopefully without too much of a premium and structured similarly.
The idea to add PPF to the painted backs is great, makes them a contender for me again as I was worried about those scratches. Has anybody input on scratches with the leather seat back? It is very sensitive and does the "soft grain" vs "pebbled" make a difference?

Hi Frank,

Should you wish to kill a bit of time waiting for the price list, you could grab the most current Trad price list of a Plus 4 from the UK and compare that to what the price list was for the US Plus 4. Should give you an idea of what level of pricing Morgan might be asking for the new Plus Four.

As for leather seat backs, all Trads have had leather seat backs. For me at least, I've had zero issues. Then again I don't normally put anything behind the seats that might cut/dig/damage the leather.

Soft vs. Pebble : The pebble grain will be harder wearing but the soft grain does feel buttery smooth. The colours are also slightly different, where they share colours that is. I truly recommend that the retailer show you physical samples if possible or at min use images from the used car locator from Morgan and compare.

Good luck

P

Hi Perry, thanks for the input. I was able to see and test drive a Plus Four earlier this year at a Morgan dealer when I was in Switzerland for skiing. That one had the soft grain leather and leather seat backs. They looked and felt great but, of course, that doesn't tell me how they work out in actual use. The dealer had also lots of samples there for the various option but getting supplement input from owner is great.
