Richard, I was told an analogue output of speed or if not available then they fit the GPS sensor. The importer / distributor in Manningtree suggested he use his best dealer. When I mentioned the guy in Derby Gary & I were with this week that is who it is. I'll keep you posted.

The alternative is a GPS sensor.

I found a specialist who seemed to know what we need, problem is they can't get the IC chips for the unit we need for CANbus, but I'll try and dig out the contact info

I'm inclining to the simpler stand alone GPS that doesn't have to mess with MMC's ECU/ BCU bits. Will update you next week if a KISS solution will work

Connecting to CanBus is not that onerous John. You tap into back of OBD2 plug. You need +12V, Ground, Can High & Can Low, connected to decoder to give speed pulse output.

I would be concerned using GPS to control speed as you would loose signal when satellite coverage is lost, in cities, tunnels etc.

I know Richard. I'll let you know what the importer says & then talk to Brian in Derby.

Here you go chaps,
The cruise control mfr that the OP used recommended Sailes marketing

Had a lengthy chat with Sailes and although not familiar with Mogs he was confident we would get a result as it works with most usual modern Fords

You need the CANbus module
https://sailesmarketing.com/shop/can-bus-interfaces/cb-1-can-bus-interface/

This can be connected without breaking into the harness
https://sailesmarketing.com/shop/can-bus-interfaces/canclick-contactless-can-reader/

Or via OBD

I am booked in to get it fitted 26/4. Cost £595 being done by the importer's best agent who is based in Derby. Will update you all later.
