Mrs was out last night in the car so I had to go on her bike to the off licence for a bottle of whisky.

Got a nice bottle for £22 and put it in the little basket on the front of the bike. Just before I set off I thought that if I fell off on the way home, it would break and I’d lose it all.

So I decided the best thing to do was to drink it all there and then.

Good job I did, because I fell off the bike eight times on the way home.

Back in the 50's Bobby went to pick up his date, Peggy Sue. Bobby was a pretty hip guy with his own car and a DA. When he arrived at the front door, Peggy Sue’s father answered and invited him in.

“Peggy Sue’s not ready yet, so why don’t you have a seat?” he said. “That’s cool,” answered Bobby.

Peggy Sue’s father asked Bobby what they’re planning to do. Bobby replied politely they’ll probably go to the malt shop or to a movie.

Peggy Sue’s father suggested, “Why don’t you kids go out and screw? I hear all the kids are doing it now.”

Naturally this came as quite a surprise to Bobby and he said, “Whaaaat?”

“Yeah,” said Peggy Sue’s father, “Peggy Sue really likes to screw; she’ll screw all night if we let her!”

Bobby’s eyes lit up and he smiled from ear to ear. Needless to say, the evening’s plans were just completely revised.

A few minutes later Peggy Sue came downstairs in her poodle skirt and saddle shoes. Almost breathless with anticipation, Bobby escorted his date out the front door while Peggy Sue’s dad called out, “Have a good evening kids,” with a wink for Bobby.

About 20 minutes later a thoroughly disheveled Peggy Sue rushed back into the house, slammed the door behind her and screamed at her father: “DAMMIT, DADDY! THE TWIST!IT’S CALLED THE TWIST!”
