Nice coastal run and patted the tank for Graham at Torcross where the Ukraine flag is being flown for the past few months thumbs

Lovely dry clear but cool run out with loads of Hardly Davidsons on the road and a very nice Hot Rod painted matt black with no wings and huge headlights and a V8 of some description in and sounding like thunder, excellent and it had a hand drawn six on the door.

Nice modern Aston with the roof down in a lovely blue metallic too.

I showed my 21-year-old son the photo of the '36 at a hill climb and pointed out to him that there is a 31-year delta between it and and the +4 of my father's that will soon be arriving at our house. I made two comments that I fear may have short-circuited his inner workings: One, that the doors and rear wings would probably fit my father's car, and two, that it would be the same as if he were able to replace the door on a 2022 Toyota with that of a 1991 Toyota.

If his condition persists, I may need to reboot his brain.

To the Bonny Cravat in Woodchurch for the first of the month gathering of the SS100 owners in Kent. Brought my Roadster, which was joined by a 2012 +8, both of us rather outclassed by a 1929 Lagonda.

And then all of us were left in the shade by a Petersen Blower

I took a trip to a local Austin-Healey specialist for their monthly "Natter & Nibbles" breakfast. I was first to arrive, a lovely genuine Riley Brooklands was second.

As John V6 mentions a great day out with FolkMog to Forncett Industrial steam museum between Diss and Norwich. A small museum jam packed with some surprisingly large steam engines. Many thanks to Rob and Ali for organising the visit with the bonus of an in-house buffet lunch.

Video here showing the twin cylinder engine coupled to water pumps rescued from Tower Bridge following conversion to its current electric operation. The pumps restored the tall head of water that powered the bridge opening mechanism, guaranteeing one open/close cycle without the engine.

The original steam engine used to prime the opening mechanism remains there.

An extremely interesting tour of the live steam museum.

Big thanks to Rob and Ali for putting it all together.

Also thanks to the WAGS for putting up with us big soft recycled teenagers 🤪

We travelled from Harwich to Esbjerg on the car ferry and it was a good trip on the Winston Churchill I think the vessel was called funnily enough.

We stayed on Romo for about a month and enjoyed going along to a NATO aircraft bombing/shooting range which was good - back in the days of the German Starfighters and Danish Mirages.

We took full advantage of working out there and fell in love with Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen, there was so much to entertain you there and really good restaurants.

You are lucky to live so close.

You are right: Danmark is a little flat but has a lot of small winding roads.

And the view out of the living room window of our holiday home helps to relax grin2

We also love the Tivoli! Epecially when it is illuminated in the evening! Then it has a nice oldfashioned flair.

Driving with the Morgan in Copenhgen is a little bit difficult. I stopped to count how many times Asian tourists jumped in front of us to take a photo of us scared

Richard of course I wanted to clarify for you "what material" the Sptfire on display is made of!

So I took the trouble grin2 to drive the 100km around the fjord to take another more accurate photo of the hull. woohoo

It is a pity that I have never managed to be there on one of the weekends when vintage air shows take place.

Maybe another reason was that I wanted to visit the Stauning Distillery near the airfield again. laugh2

Stauning Destillery was a small independent distillery until 2015, but since then it has been part of the Talisker group. Nevertheless, they have bottlings that taste good to me.
