....it's meant that the Tenax fasteners no longer clip into place with a click. Net result, they blow off when driving along - these are the 'hood tidy' Tenax that secure the side flap things - if you see what I mean.
I have just bought a couple of the (male) parts of the Tenax fastener from a reputable supplier. I want to add them to the hood frame to stop the annoying flappy/rattly tendency when its folded down. I removed the part fitted to the body above the door, in case they had worn and I would replace them with the new ones. Possibly of no real consequence, but the new ones are
very slightly different from the factory-fitted ones. Just for the record, the new ones are the same overall size and have an 8mm flange/nut, but have a coarser thread (they are the screw-in type), and are not threaded all the way to the top. And beware there is also a "similar" fastener available called Tomax, which seems a bit like passing-off to me.
