Have now taken delivery, with i guess the usual new car problems. guess part of the fun! Morgan 4/4 bespoke.
1) Speedo reads 110 mph at about 20 mph 2) Brake lights + Rear fog light don't work 3) Standard door mirrors, um not enough tilt available (down) are the round ones better 4) Oil pressure gauge not giving much more than 2 bar at 3000rpm 5) Drivers side screen inch gap fwd top. seems to be the door trim distorting it. near side fits fine. 6) Rather loud rattle/twang offside rear over bumps 7) Do they all handle funny when cornering hard, (not that hard it's new) seems to be fine then sudden shift of balance causing immediate under steer. bit weird.
Any pointers will help my knowledge, but am taking the car in to be looked at on tues. so will pass on what they find.
Yes I know it is a Morgan and not an MG (Had for 15 yrs)
Having said all that what a loverly character full car. Hope you don't mind the questions not complaints as am looking forward to knowing her inside out over the next 15 + years.
Thanks in advance Bob:)

Bob, First off, re the handling - it will take you 6 months to learn the foibles and really start to get the best out of the car... Ohhh yeah, congratulations BTW Now: 1) usually a setting in the electronic speedo - your dealer shoudl be able to sort this 2) hmmm, I suspect a connector isn't right somewhere there - again dealer should sort this for you (they should have done it before you took delivery - to not notice such failures on a PDI isn't good!) 3) round ones are much better (not that I have any - I seem to, almost, fit with my originals 4) again dealer should sort that 5) & 6) as 4) 7) err think I've answered that above More questions? Ask away! Cheers,
Graham (G4FUJ)

I think that's very poor, when you consider what these cars cost, but I'm not surprised. My car had loads of faults as well.

Bob.....re the mirrors, convex round are better in my view but have you moved the arm into its closest position to the door? There are three spring detents and the further out the arms are, the less downward adjustment of the mirror.
As far as the other problems you have...a shame that it came out of the factory like that and equally a shame the dealer didn't pick them up at PDI. Still, all sortable by the dealer. The side screen just needs a slight bend in it to close the gap.
Handling as Graham said takes time to get use to and then gets a bit addictive as its so unlike a modern car! The chassis flex makes it feel quite different. Although bearing in mind the lack of PDI I'd check your tyre pressures!

Thank you all, Dealer says it was all ok on their test drive. Glad I turned around after 1/4 mile & took it back to show them the speedo gross over read. I now understand why the car had 129 miles on it as have done an extra 20 or so & it now says 218 gues it thinks the wheels are going around very fast. Bob:) John +4 that is a little gem of an article, when you pull the top of the side screen does it mean inboard or aft?

Bob, on mine it means inboard. GoMog has a great set of articles on maintenance as does https://sites.google.com/site/morganatica/home

It's back from the dealers Speedo had to be changed, a fault at the back of it "quote" Brake & Fog Lamp. Plate which holds the brake switch had to be moved as when brakes were applied it shorted the wiring and hence blew the fuse, every time. Oil pressure apparently normal 1 to 3 bar. Mine was slightly more than the new 4/4 sport in the showroom. The twang rattle was in fact the hardtop rear location spring arrangement. Needed adjusting. SideScreen now adjusted and fine. So have driven it home and will start to learn. As the organ pedal does not fit without adjustment am trying to get used to the standard throttle being so far forward. Do you guys tend to have the seat back reclined to get the steering wheel at a sensible distance? This means the head rests are useless, I have bought a bolster which seems to improve things a little. Being only 5'6" is the problem but with small feet, the peddles are about right. Anyway filed the factory satisfaction survey with the details, but i guess it wouldn't be a morgan without it's foibles. Got to say still can't wipe the grin off my face after the drive home. I look forward to meeting some of you over the next few months. Thanks again for all the helpful advice. Bob:)

Forget straight arms Bob. get a bit closer. I'm 5'8 and prefer bent arms and a more upright seat back. It's very comfortable over long distances that way (for me anyway). The oil pressure gauge is very 'approximate', and I've stopped worrying about it as long as its registering something. The difference in readings between freezing cold morning, and cold engine, to red hot day and hot engine is amazing.

I'm a fairly new +4 owner as well. I have also had some difficulty getting comfortable in the car (I'm 5'8"). I have the seat fairly well back, so that my left leg is straight with the clutch pedal pressed fully in, I have the seat back reclined well back, my arms are still well bent and yes the head rest is not much use.
I have also had several issues with my car, frankly it's a disgrace when you consider what these cars cost us the customer and what it costs the manufacturer to correct avoidable defects. They just don't seem to get the whole quality and right first time thing. It's very unlikely that I will buy another one after the M3W that I'm already committed to.
