Hi Having checked my tyres on my 2014 plus 4, I have decided to change them as they are the original Yokohama tyres. They are currently 195/60/R15 88H. Can I change to a 65 profile tyre to increase the height a little? Will this have an impact on the speedometer? If so by how much? Also any recommendations for a good summer tyre? Not sure what the factory fit these days? I want a tyre with best grip and low noise rather than all weather as car only really used in the summer.

Peter (Gambalunga) and others have changed to 65 size. It should work well if you do not go wider. If I recall correctly the speedo was still ok but it should be no problem to add the percentage of wheel diameter to the speedo as it is a digital gear. Here are somewhere threads how to do it easily.

My 2013 + 4 has 185/70/R15. That will work good but 185/70/15 is an exotic size and therefore very expensive. In 195/65/15 you can get the best tyres for small money.

Try 195/65R15 Avon ZV7
They will make about 3% difference to the speedo reading (The speedo will under read, if it is accurate now!!)
Very good all-rounder with good wet and dry grip but not the best trackday tyre.
And can be had for a very good price if you keep an eye out for offers.

Your Speedo will underread by approx 3% with that change. As the law dictates they cannot underread by any amount as new it may just leave your Speedo more accurate. Avon ZV7's work well and were factory fit on last Roadsters and current fit on Plus Fours. ETA: missed previous post

The Avons are obviously good tyres I do not know them by experience. Alternatively Dunlop Bluresponse are tyres I know and I was very satisfied.

I have just put a set of ZV7s on my Aero8 to try them on a different set of wheels to Michelin PS4 I have on my other wheels. I'm not a little concerned by IvorMog's comments as I'm going to the BHM trackway at Goodwood next week and was intending to run the ZV7 as they appear to be more dry rather grip focussed then the PS4 giving better all round performance, particularly in the wet.
Cheers, Paul

Use this website to put in the details of your old tyres and new tyres and you can see the differences. https://www.willtheyfit.com/You will see with the tyres you have and want the speedo is -3.07%

Paul, you can read a comparison here which confirms IvorMog's comments. However neither are track day tyres if you want the ultimate.
