Hi Phil,

I wonder if you would be so kind as to confirm exactly how you fitted your pedal extender to the roller throttle please?

It's a small detail but I'm not 100% happy with Morgan's roller throttle idea used on my 2012 Plus 4, I appreciate I'm fussy for these things but to me my initial throttle application is imprecise, it feels like the first millimeter or so of travel is actually going in to rolling the roller, not cracking the throttle butterfly open as its should.

I also don't fancy spending £65.00 on the Wolf throttle pedal when I can buy three nice ally pedal extenders for just £16.00 off eBay, from reading your post it looks like great minds think alike and you fitted something similar, but it's not entirely unclear to me how you fitted the throttle one?

To be honest I only really want to fit an extender to the throttle pedal as it's only the unconventional roller thing that bugs me, so if you can explain how you attached your pedal extender to the roller pedal/throttle arm, I'd be very grateful.

Many thanks, Dave.

PS: I've also emailed you, so I hope you'll see my question & respond either way?

Hi Dave,

Got your email but will reply here as others may be interested at some point in the future!

On mine, the roller had already beem replaced with a normal pedal. However it was not a very sophisticated upgrade! Basically someone had got a random accelerator pedal (very similar to the one I have on my MG) and then welded a chuck of 'U Channel' to the back of the pedal and then drilled through and bolted through the hole where the roller previously was.The bolt squeezed the U channel sufficiently to stop it waggling back and forth. I then drilled the old pedal to mount the new aluminum pedal to.

If I was doing it from scratch, I'd probably just get a suitable sized chunk of 'U channel' and bolt the ally pedal directly to that, then on to the pedal arm. If you chose a deeper piece of U Channel you could put through a secondary bolt behind the pedal arm to stop any other movement.

Hope that makes sense?

Cheers

Phil
