I took my 1980 + 8 to a local car show and much to my surprise because of all the American iron there I got Best of Show.
Nice trophy and $ 50 cash.
I've only had the car 2 weeks but have been to 3 car shows already. I made up a notebook to show people the Morgan factory and how they build the cars.

Great that your Morgan is being so well received Dutch, which I suspect can only add to your and our enjoyment of it  There are times when it is good to be different. I have oft related a story I read on eMog many years back of a rather well patinated Morgan turning up at a glittering Morgan fancy hotel weekend gathering, it was the odd one out amongst all the glitterati and as such was given pride of place in the hotel foyer...

Not sure what Morgan call it but I sprayed a Karmann-ghia that coulour in CA in the '70 and it was called 'Root Beer Metallic' .... really rich colour that suits curves.

Thanks for posting the picture. I haven't figured out how to do that yet. :-)
It's a chocolate metal flake. It really sparkles in the sun. I haven't seen another Morgan that color yet.

Congrats on the win! if you are up for a drive, the Louisville KY british car club is having a show the 4th of June for the children's hospital. They've gotten enough morgans together for our own class!!! Hope to see you there.
If not there, the maddog and englishmen club are having a big show the 9th of July at the Gilmour Car museum (up near Kalamazoo). i plan to drive up from Lexingon KY.

Unfortunately my band is playing on the 4th. Kalamazoo is a bit far for me. :-) The Ohio Morgan club has a couple of meets this summer. I missed the one this weekend as really bad weather was predicted and I don't have a hood for my car.
I'm actually taking my 3 Wheeler to one of the premier shows in the Midwest on June 5th. It is invitation only. There will be $ 53,000,000 worth of cars there.
