I found some very nice minilite wheels on the Limora website, but I'm not sure of the compatibility with my car sos:

Nestor I'm pretty sure Henry at Williams has carried out a few of these conversions, maybe worth a call or email to them.

Henry's 4/4 race car has them fitted from memory.
Martin and I saw a Morgan performing at Wiscombe that had them fitted, they looked a bit heavy visually though.

They are heavy… It can affect the whole driving experience rather negatively

They look great and would be tempted for my car but given they have the weighty steel inserts and fixings not to mention being unavailable as centre lock 7J x 16" with 170mm offset, have dismissed them.

A future all aluminium version or design incorporating a far lighter shrunk in steel insert for the centre lock fitting, if either were practical, would re-kindle my interest.

I might be alone, but I have to say I have never liked Minilites. I'd go further: I hate them, seeing them on a car makes me cringe. Whatever it is about the Minilite that makes others think they look good is clearly missing from my DNA. confused2

Ian .... for me it's completely dependent on the car .... they look great on a de-bumpered Spridget but look naff on a Morris 1000 .... in spite of the cars sharing much in the way of mechanicals .... horses for courses *

apparently this is a bad idea.
however it seemed to me that the original spoke rims were very heavy...🤔
I'm putting this idea on hold for now.
