Well sort of. All working but I have no idea what I did to achieve it.
Basically put the column shroud back together ( I had not removed the stalk)
& unplugged & replugged the wiper plug. I had replaced the relay earlier. Anyway think the short May have been in the switch stalk area & lack of wipe just the wiper motor plug.
Much appreciate the pointers what to check. If it goes again I will go straight to the stalk. When I bought my +4 the dealer (Peter Constable) said if the wipers stop working unplug the wiper plug and plug it in again, worked for me several times.

Morgans tend to be older than most other cars, hence components also age. Electrical connections, even undisturbed, can get corrosion/ tarnishing. They might look ok and , as described above, simply unplugging/ refitting does a clean up of the mating surfaces.
Bullet connectors in exposed, harsh environment areas such as under front wings are particularly prone. When I had front light issues on a 13 yr old Mog they were seized solid. Spray was constantly hitting them. Replaced with new spade connectors sealed with shrink fit tubing.

My windshield wipers only moved slowly and occasionally stopped on the windshield. With contact spray, sprayed into the large connector at the wiper drive, I was able to quickly fix the problem.

Just thought I would “end?” This.
Replaced wash wipe stalk still had the short occasionally, guess not that then.
BUT as all the wires appeared to be sound, using a warble wand. (Wire tracer).
& after refitting that plug by the wiper motor. (Had it disconnected so I could trace wires from there) the short disappeared. It appears that the plug is a little loose. The cars vibration causes it to move about 1/2 way to disconnect. It then shorts the washer lead, within the plug. Trouble is I can not see how. All the terminals within the plug seem separate. Present fix is a clip that holds the plug together.
