I replaced my fuel filter last week and I'm not sure if it a placebo effect, but the performance feels amazing. 40 to 70 took no time whatsoever. When draining the old filter of fuel, I gave it some assistance by blowing into one end and the newer filter definitely breathed more easy. It might not have made a difference, but the grin was real 😁

Next change will be the ht leads. Any advice on where to get some for a series 1 Roadster? The coil pack location is different than on the mondeo ST220 so the length will be different if I sourced some of those. I made an enquiry with Wolf P, as they supply these for 4 cylinder models, at around £85, but politely declined their offer to source some for £177 plus vat and carriage.

Placebo or not just enjoy the drive shades

Regarding plug leads all I can say is that Magnecor are more!

Yes, they were for Magnecor, but for nearly twice as much for the same brand, I couldn't see the logic for this increase for an extra 2 leads.

Leroy, there are specialists who will make to pattern, so either take a photo of each end and measure each one or send off your leads for them to copy (winter season job ?)

Magnecor used to sell kits, I used the kit to custom make a set for my +8.

Have a look at Mr Retro Leads, he made a custom set for my '99 Plus8 a couple of years ago, at a very reasonable price. Top quality product, very helpful and knowledgeable owner and great service. I have no connection with the firm, just a very satisfied customer. Cheers, John.
