Has anyone found a way to reduce glare from their satnav screen if one does not tuck it under a half-tonneau? It does surprise me that TomTom etc do not use non-reflective glass.

A satnav or the hood?
I find altering the angle works ok.
I use maps to get near a destination then satnav for the detailed final part of the route.
Used the “locate a supermarket” option last month while up in Shropshire. Also handy for petrol stations, car parks etc.
An old Tomtom helped as a walking guide a few years back. Parked up and walked to the destination in the town.
No....before you comment....running on battery not a very long cable!

I simply use my phone bluetoothed to car radio for nav instructions. Way too much distraction having to glance at Satnav regularly. Ditto with Mini that has built in Satnav.

Have a look at Motorbike options - they often have a peak to avoid glare.

Thank you all, as always. I have tried a number of hoods but they do not cut out a great deal when the sun is on the screen. And TomTom bike satnav screens are as shiny as the car versions. Has anyone found a non-reflective film that works?
I am thinking about those days when one does not want to use the half-tonneau to shelter the gadget.

I have a round plastic disc stuck to the underside of the dash to which I can attach the Satnav.

I spent ages perfecting a hood to fit the old TomTom, as speed increased the bl**y thig just flapped about until making a bid for freedom, still not found a successful cure
I also find if the navigator wears bright clothing this contributes to reflections in the screen
