1. 35. My father seriously considered a Morgan in 1948 but ordered an MG instead. I was less than 2 years old. I started dreaming about a Morgan when I was in my mid 30s and I passed a dealer (Sydney Australia) on the way to work every day. 2. 64. Deposit paid but I collect it next year when I will be 65 3. 64. But see above. The Plus 4 is my 65th birthday present to myself on the basis that it is now or never (30 years is too long to dream) Looking at the ages I really seem to be the old git

1/. 17........ My father had died a couple of years earlier and I'd just passed my test and became the driver in the family. There was a Morgan dealer near Carnforth (long gone) and Mum wanted a Morgan! So did I but for some reason I saw sense and we ended up with a Mini.
2/. 60...... after a number of modern sports cars and really wanting a TR3 , visited the factory for the first time and that did it for me!
3/. Still 60!

1. around 10. there was a competition on the back of a cereal packet - identify the car grilles. Lots of obvious ones, RR etc, but didn't know the waterfall. So I went to the library, did some hunting and found out is was Morgan. 2. 49. My GF hired one for my 50th birthday present knowing I liked them, and after that of course, I had to dig deep and buy one! 3. 53.

1/ 20 Read an Autocar article on Wolfe Island Ontario(1st of many overseas contracts)about a racing +8, Love at first sight. I still have the embossed paper letter signed by Peter Morgan inviting me to the Factory for a test drive on return to the U.K. & Price list +8 was £1,529.00 in 1972. 2/ 53 Marriage + 3 Children & UNI's later - 93, +8 3.9Ltr just magical. At 58 y.o.a. traded for Centenary 4/4 Sport equally as magical to me, and infinitely more chuckable should you feel the need and oh yes most of the time. 3/ 60 Enjoying the 4/4 Sport so much still, you can really explore the whole of her handling envolope without the pendalum action of some of the heavier cars. Fuel/tax/servicing cheap as I look to retaining her into retirement.
