At a recent factory visit Nov 10th - I saw many 3-wheelers being rushed through to clear delays. Also - +4 Supersports being finished off as priorities There were many 3-W dotted about at various stages of completion and same for +4SS. There were some stocks of various models dotted round but all seemed ready for despatch. The current push to get the limited editions and 3-W out seemed to have put back manufacture of others. There were a couple of Aero Sports in production and Plus8 part built prototypes. Didn't see a complete Plus 8 though. As its a recession I would expect sales to drop off. Could be why the +4SS and 4/4 75 Anniversary are available - stimulus for sales. Most manufacturers bring out "specials" to stimulate sales or clear component stocks. Hopefully things will pick up, the advent of the 3-W must have soaked up money that could otherwise be spent on 4-wheelers, so lower sales would be expected. When the initial surge for 3-W has been cleared I wonder if 4-wheeler interest will pick up?

Now as people have said you can have a new Morgan within weeks.
But is that demand slipping, or more cars being produced? Others who are more knowledgeable should answer this, but I would say a bit of both. I was told the waiting lists were cut when the factory started using the Superform aluminium system of moulding the composite shapes of the mudguards but I suspect there is a lot more involved, including outsourcing some items that were previously made in-house. Apparently things changed quite a bit when they started making the Aero series.

Saturday meeting is OK if the factory will open up, but there won't be much happening in production.

I could share any day, also a Saturday. As I´ve never been at MMC I´m thinking about to see the "men at work". It´s no problem for me to arrive a day before if we should meet on a Saturday which I guess is without work. It may be good for most of us to find a date relatively soon to make it easier to get it organized. As someone said, it could happen when snow and salt is gone, how about around the weekend before Easter, e.g. March 31, just as one of the possibilities? (I´m offline now as we have guests just arriving).

Some of us need no excuse to do both a Friday "working day" and a Saturday TM meet!

Friday's are normally a half day. With notice I'll book a day's leave - always good to meet up with Mog folk Only being 20 or so miles away is also an advantage Cheers,

We would be probables. A date to coincide with a Prescott meeting would be good as it's an 800 mile round trip for us. Mr Grumpy.

I'm just wondering if I can employ this "Slipping sales" thread as a way to persuade 'er indoors that I should buy a 3 wheeler too, to keep the worthy burgers of Malvern Link in gainful employ.

Wow, Morgan/ Malvern to Prescott is closer than Cologne to Nürburgring. If on some weekend it could be combined the factory visit and a Prescott event that would be lovely. But of course it´s no "must have" for me - only thinking about it if easy to realize. For me core intention would be to visit MMC and, if possible, to participate in a TM meeting.
