Being absent without leave from TM for a few weeks, I was not aware of the problems with CX cars but I've read about it now. Shocking stuff - CX owners should each get a book plus a Fortnum and Masons hamper.

Yes a good investment and gesture of good will thumbs

This will take a lot of rowing back to restore confidence in the CX range is the truth of this whole affair and that's not being negative as I love Morgan, just realistic.

Aren't we being a little harsh on MMC? ... the brake issue is down to a defect on a bought in item (and I think it effects other companies as well) .... not like they went for the cheapest deal in brake parts from China on ebay ... recalls are a fact of life for all modern car companies ... can't think of one major firm that's never had one?

Annoying for the owners ... but a fact of automotive life in our litigation happy world.

I don't think so as that still leaves the unresolved radiator issue from 2019 though doesn't it, as we don't know whether they bought the Master cylinder on a cost basis we don't really know do we, I have my own thoughts on that.

I am concerned for the future of the company over these issues so close on the heels of the multiple issues with the M3W.

This is not an Emporers New Clothes scenario, I believe their future very much depends on the way this recall (both issues) is handled imho.

At this level in the market they are selling to a lot of new customers who will not be prepared to accept poor quality or service and will demand redress for any downtime of their cars. I know of at least two owners that are happy to hand their cars back over as not fit for purpose ! they are tired of the radiator fiasco let alone the brake issue.

Steve's new right hand man has to show his Latin charm to full effect right now to ride this one wink

I wasn`t going to put it quite so colourfully but the book is a MSCC publication written by Charles Neal the club magazine editor. And a great job he has made of it too!

The book title suggests to me that the traditional Morgan car is now well and truly behind us. . The march towards greater complexity and many more parts is not really a march in the right direction. More of a precious non fungible token to be stored somewhere safe.

I own this book https://www.amazon.com.au/Morgan-Official-History-Worlds-Greatest-ebook/dp/B0130003EE which I enjoyed. Is this new book more of the same? Or being written by a Charles who is not a family member be fairly different?
