I guess from the RHD and reg plate it was originally a UK car? .... would be interesting to know the original coachbuilder Here's a pic from Ken Hill's book "Completely Morgan" ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2022/03/13/Gerry-Wilburns-resto-project.jpg) Looking back through this and noticed the caption of the picture. One of the 50 flat-rads supplied as bare chassis!! On this thread I think we've seen this and just a couple of 'coachbuilt' cars .... I wonder what happened to the other 47 chassis?? ...there may be more 'Morgan Specials' out there than we imagine? .... maybe they're under the radar because they don't look like Morgans on the outside? Lovely Turner designed engine indeed, Triumph m/cycle rods and pistons if I remember correctly, many a Jag bodied Daimler had it`s engine ripped out to end up polished to perfection in a hot rod, same engine in a Daimler Dart if memory serves..?

K I am wondering if one of those "47 chassis" could be here in Colorado. I have heard on fairly good authority that Tebow the former Broncos Quarterback owns a Morgan that doesn't really look like a Morgan, custom built for him with a Morgan cowl badge. I have been trying to confirm the credibility of the story.

Specials..? From my time on eMog, I think Gerry posted a pic of the +4 Saloon that looked as if taken in the fifties judging by the ladies dresses. The body of which was in aluminium and similar in design to the Hillman Aero Minx, info on Page 55 of Original Morgan John Worrall & Liz Turner.
I also remember reading of a lady who made replacement chassis for Trads in the US or Canada, thus there is perhaps quite a bit of scope for the creation of specials
Then there was the story and pics of the Ferrari look alike with Morgan underpinnings which Bill Button posted on eMog some years back, now that really was ..err.. special.. I may have pics of it somewhere..
Edit :- Addendum.. Typing of "Specials" No one has yet mentioned ROB 80 R which was apparently a joint project of the MMC and Rob Wells of Libra Motive..? First registered in 1977 chassis number seemingly relates to a factory "prototype" so whether that equates to it being a Morgan first or not..?
Chassis reportedly designed by Rob and bodied by MMC. Wishbone front suspension and De Deion rear, supercharged carb fed 3.9 V8 and T5 gearbox feeding into a viscous diff.. thus definitely special, but a Morgan special, I wonder..?
Apparently featured in January 2000 Miscellany for those who might still have old copies of the MSCC mag.
