Not a lot of interest in the the ratty old Ferrari V12then. Once the fuel supply fault was resolved it ran sweetly with good oil pressure and went like a train..sounded great too, through what was left of the exhaust system. Would have been a shame/crime to make into a coffee table.

Well any Ferrari let alone an old banger is an even larger money pit than a boat, so not surprised really.. grin2

Howard of this parish is well versed in both wink

It was a wonderful engine indeed OZ, ran wonderfully well despite it`s appearance, It would have been a real money pit for any would be restorer as Richard suggested. That it was essentially configured for fueling (K Jetronic) as two sixes as opposed to a V12 was interesting indeed, two oil filters too...It was an experience indeed and kinda underlined my preferance for Porsche.. smile

Nice one Luddite. The wonderful K Jetronic is what fuels the Delorean and many other old classics

I first came across K Jetronic in my then 1977 911 SC, a great fueling system indeed. I bought the Bosch publication Automotive Electric/Electronic Systems in order to learn a bit about the systems operation ISBN 1 85226 021 1 I suspect these days there is little need to buy books given most info will be found on the www, though it seems parts for it may be difficult to sourse these days. The last hands on I had with K Jetronic was on a pals 3 litre Capri. A very widely used system.
