Janice arrived as the medics arrived around 00:15 today. The MIL needs assessing by a doctor so the para medics asked Janice to do that today. But the doctor is too busy so he has asked her to get anotherl ot of para medics to do that.
Richard we won't go later as the boss wouldn't settle and it was only a short trip. We can do it another time.

What is happening to the Ambulance service  my partner slipped on the stairs in December breaking both long bones at the ankle. Upon phoning 999 ambulance centre said "someone" would phone me back in 4 hrs 40 mins to assess  Fortunately a friend lives close by and we managed to get her up and onto a chair and lift her out to his car and transport her to A&E where the service was excellent. This is not an isolated incident, as a police officer it almost standard procedure to "scoop and run" due to the predicted long wait for ambulance. On one occasion I arrived at A&E just as the patient stopped breathing, fortunately a crash team were waiting and all ended well. Hope everything is ok John.

Keith thanks. I will vent my spleen to my MP a certain T Coffrey but I expect no response as she is too busy climbing the greasy pole.

Sorry to hear that John. Unfortunately an all-too familiar story. One of our neighbours knocked late the other evening and asked if I would help get her husband out of his chair and into the car so she could get him to hospital as he was in agony. She had tried to call for an ambulance but the wait was in the region of 5 hours. Even when they got to the hospital he wasn't seen for another 15 hours!

Hopmog paid a visit to Chartwell yesterday - the former home of Winston Churchill. The transporter that I hired to take my car from Virginia to Florida arrived yesterday at noon, 15 minutes after the South Florida daily monsoon rains arrived, so no driving yesterday without snorkeling gear. Today, on the other hand, was instructive for my family.
