Sad for George. His honest reaction was good if difficult for his race.

Brilliant result and the last ten laps were a blaze of overtaking and respectful wheel to wheel racing. Two top blokes in first and second and Lewis deserved third for his driving and overtaking.

I felt sorry for Charles and George for differing reasons, the disapointment on their faces was palpable, I thought George was holding back from venting his spleen admirably when interviewed.

It was a delight to see Carlos on the podium and well deserved.

Good race, arguably the best 3 cars on the podium, the order didn't matter to me: the last 10 laps were simply wonderful. I'd like to see a lot more races like this one. BUT many of the older circuits are not really suitable for modern F1 cars, in the way Silverstone is.

Brilliant race; I really enjoyed watching.
Great result for Carlos and a fantastic drive for the podium places.
Zhou Guanyu’s accident was shocking, but what a testimony to the strength and safety of F1 cars.
For me, the most enjoyable race so far, this season.

I am surprised that there is not more noise re the accident.

There has been a move away from the Kitty Litter (stones) in the run off areas for a long time now and it was a perfect demo of why.

Inverted car could result in stones being dragged into the car hammering the head/body?
When the broad side of the car dug in it catapulted it over the protective barrier and had it not been for the fence there was serious risk to a crowd?
That's before we discuss it being dragged back onto the track and then sent like missiles from under the driven wheels.

The sooner they change it to tarmac the better.

Thank god they have made the cars so structurally sound.

Sorry, not meant to come over moany, just that watching happen I was convinced it was going to be fatal due to the stones around his body as this would get through the halo.

Tarmac won't slow the bike riders down and they fall off all the time.

It is motor racing and all that entails, I think the fact that it was a particularly nasty accident and that our Chinese friend got out completely unscathed just demonstrates that both the car and track safety measures are up to scratch and worthy of praise imho.

I wonder if this weekends race in Austria will be as good, somehow I don't think so.
