I love when cars stay in the family. It just makes them so much more special.
When our car came to us we had a lot of overdue maintenance. Last winter I rebuilt the front suspension and the entire brake system. Lots of smaller bits too. I can imagine my father in law looking down and smiling, lending a hand when needed.
Next winters list is already forming.

Lovely run down the coast fro south shields to Seaham, then across to county Durham and then home. Found an esso garage with unleaded for 183.9 but the queue was huge. Thought there might have been a blanket reduction, but no. My local one on my return journey was still 189.9.

Cracking run out along the coast today 27 C so a little warmer than our Gallic friends today, loads of bikes and a big old Bentley with frantic waves, a great scenic 60 miles of audiological pleasure.
