Early start with clean car, sidescreens off and perfect blue sky.

Leo in eager? anticipation of walkies on the beach.

40 something miles and we were on the coast at Kessingland, just south of Lowestoft. Forecast was for gentle breeze and around 5° cooler than inland. It didn't dissapoint for I or Leo.

Lunch would have been in our favourite pub in Southwold but strangely they have gone wet only. Managed a lovely sandwich from the high street. Great drive back home through the twisties with E5 providing performance dividends drive

I did 1,000 miles + last weekend with no issues. 1 mile to the store and I have issues. I guess it's better now.

Check tightness of the wing stay where it bolts to underside of the top of the wing. If slightly loose it can produce an annoying squeak such as you describe.

It has to be in the wheel. The squeak corresponds to the wheel revolution. I'm hoping it's just the cotter spin hitting the inside of the hub.

Could be the wheel bearing - mine started with a squeak, gave the hub nut a nip up and ithe noise went. Eventually had to replace the hub bearings but got a few 1000 out of it before needing to.

Richard, very nice colourful image pic of Leo sitting comfortably.

Oh well, just back from Kwik-Fit having paid out £105 to have a new tyre fitted to my +8 resulting from a slow puncture too close to the sidewall to be deemed repairable on a tyre with perhaps 4k miles use... The puncture unknowingly picked up on my circa 80 mile run through the Trossachs in wonderfully warm sunshine on Sat last....Despite the surprise cost, day`s like that are best grabbed with both hands... drive

We never made it to France sadly but at least a quick drive to the seaside is always possible and today was excellent weather for it. 3 miles to get there and 15 or so going home the long way

snugging the castle nut did nothing for the sound. May have gotten slightly louder.

I think I'll change the bearings. I didn't replace them when I did the king pins last winter, and I don't know how old they are.
