Indeed. For a car with such a powerful engine, that's actually going to have an incredibly low Miles per Hour rating.

As in miles driven per hour polishing. Might actually be measured in inches in this case.

My car is does around 1,000 mph or more.

Two years older than my car with 50k less miles?
It amazes me that so many Mogs have ridiculously low mileages.
My guess is many times more hours spent cleaning than driving. We have neighbours who seem to spend the majority of their time gardening. If that’s what floats your boat then ok.
One thing intrigues me though. With a lot of modifications ( performance based) why such a low mileage and cleanliness? Why was the aim to “improve” performance then not rack up the miles? I guess adding bling for looks is what some like but the hidden performance upgrades and not benefitting from them?
As DaveW said, getting that level of cleanliness means so much work and time. Stripping back, dismantling to get access, rebuilding, big clean after every trip ( even a few miles).
Great looking car though. Price a bit steep.
Is it me being dumb or what? Tornado chip and upgraded distributor? How does that work? Non Covid brain fog?

Interesting T&Cs. I don’t think I’d buy a car sight unseen on those terms, as I did from Lifes.

I agree - it's pretty risky and neither would I. But there is something odd about that car as well, the inverse case of the Plus 8 posted by Richard. It looks well used and distressed. But it only has 4435 miles on the clock! Nothing for a 1970's car.

It seems to me that there are rather a lot of different priorities in play when choosing to buy into the idea of Morgan ownership. It seems those who choose Morgan may vary from the adventurous to the garage queen worshipper and everything in between..?

With a Morgan as cynically clean as this I suspect one migh become overly precious of it`s unmarked cleanliness thus even someone who may not have OCD tendancies may find themselves trapped by it`s present condition for to maintain that degree of perfection and enjoy driving the car could be a real commitment, not to mention the fear and frustration every time a stone hit the paintwork, even that on the underside...!!!

One of the most polished Morgans I have come across belonged (may still belong) to the GoMoG webmaster, though his was also one of the most travelled Morgans I had ever seen, so I guess it is indeed possible to mix polished to perfection and experiencing adventure with a capital "A"..?

My Morgan was in concours condition having been subjected to a nut and bolt rebuild at circa 8K miles having been a bit of a barn find, rebuilt by a bodyshop owner to become his ideal Morgan and used to display his high degree of workmanship... First day I had it home I ripped up a local unmade road with stones flying, the thinking being that I bought this car to enjoy driving it and over the years I have..and on one or two foreign unmade roads too... (-:

As you might imagine it has acquired a degree of patina too... but in truth it still looks rather smart even underneath where the care and attention to detail in it`s re-assembly has paid dividends, thus if the +8 in question is other than just polished and may have been stripped careful use of sealer stainless steel and other anti-corrosion measures utilised, then all the usual trad issues relative to the passage of time may have been resolved.

older Trads minus cats and multitudes of digital accoutrements can be very reliable machines that may be fixed on the road and with minimal tools, although minus the modern comforts of air con and fancy upholstery, they can have their advantages for those who may have more vintage tastes...?

Each to their own..
