Your Brooklands Roadster looks fab.

And surely you drive without sidescreens all the time? Is there any other way to drive a Morgan?

Givi Motorcycle panniers.

I have fabricated a mounting that clamps to the rack and to which two Givi mounts are fixed. Works best with the current low line rack (bought from John Worrall). It was OK with the side screen storage rack but the cases sat a bit high. Now I have two racks and a much easier swap around.

Simple - pack her off to a Spa hotel for a couple of days and go on your own.

Lovely 90 mile round trip with Leo our Lhasa, meeting John V6 for pub lunch at the remote Poachers Pocket pub before heading short distance over to annual afternoon Classic car show at small village of Friston in Suffolk.

Bumped into a surprising number of folk I knew and spotted three other Mogs.

Smart AC Ace with 2 litre straight six.

[Linked Image]

Rare Jensen 541S, an interim model heralding the styling of the fibre glass bodied CV8 that followed, an example of which I once owned. It retained the 4 litre straight six lorry engine used in the 541 though.

Impressive at this show which I'd never visited before, was the range of vehicles. New and old classics, military and a large number of motorbikes.

Even steam was represented with this unusual forward control traction engine

Impressed by this imported and rebuilt 1937 Moto Guzzi 500S with trade mark inlet over exhaust configuration (or the reverse if engine was vertical wink ). Put my later Airone 250 to shame. Had to do a double take when it arrived as looked so similar in finish to mine and with the same OXS reg. prefix confused2

This retro Rrough wink Superior displayed modern hi-tech engineeering.

A brief trip today, but with a high grin factor. The replacement PCV valve for my +4 arrived and was installed in a jiffy. We had a dry moment with fewer potholes and ruts on the 1-mile trip from my house to pavement, so off I went for a test drive. It was only about 10 miles, round trip. I took every opportunity to row through the gears at WOT to redline. I'm pleased to say there was nary a misfire heard. Funny how actually advancing the timing as the revs increase improves engine performance, innit?

Nice jaunt round in the sun this morning ... still not driven with the screen up ... aeroscreens are just too much fun! 🙂

Testing out the new Vredestein T-trac 2 tyres I had fitted yesterday .... really noticeable difference .... smoother, more 'supple' and tracks sweeter .... not sure if it's specifically the Vredesteins or if the tyres that came with the car were particularly old and mismatched .... was perfectly driveable before but so much nicer now.

Starting to stretch the 'shakedown runs' until they're indistinguishable from 'just driving about' 🙂

Loving every mile of it so far and don't begrudge a minute of the resto graft! 😍

K

Ps ... will have to stop driving for long enough to get some pics of her in the wild!
