Sospan, not meant as a rude comment towards you in any way, your comment just made me think (the red wine may have helped) wink

Is it an upgrade or a change, the cars are all individuals, as are the owners. Modern disposable society is terrible, we simply change horses and let someone care for our previous one.

Perhaps upgrade is an unkind word, we are all getting older quiet

Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

Upgrade implies newer.......whether that relates to car, or TV, or wife............
But newer doesn't mean better does it? - even though maybe it should. My biggest fear, should I sell my Roadster is that the replacement might disappoint. I don't like disappointments.

Upgrade in my case is newer/larger engine. The 4/4 I have is great but in the longer term I am looking for something that will cruise longer distances with ease and have a bit more mid range torque. Which model?
No prefrence at this point, I will test drive a range and decide from there.
It's not beyond my thoughts to modify the car I have now to give more usaeable power. Next year will be the real decision time, but in the meantime the present car will get plenty of TLC. and use.

1. About 18-I remember my brothers friend ordering one (in about1964) and waiting years to get it delivered down under-just added to the mystique.
2. 55 and should have done it earlier-1975 Plus 8 chassis R7876
3. 64 and just last week added a 1990 Plus 4-4 seater to the stable

1. When I was '19' and the Girlfriend was complaining somestick about straddling the Triumph in those 60's tight Miniskirts. Three Wheelers did not need a new test but Morgans Trikes were as rare then as they are now so I ended up with a 350cc twin excelsior engined 'Berkeley'.

As the only licence holder in our family the trike soon became everyone's Taxi so perhaps I should have stayed with the bike.

2. '65' when we bought our 'Lellow' 4/4 love. A year later we bought the Roadster.

3. '67' (almost 68) Feeling quite ancient now having seen the ages of all the other posters. oldgit

Phew! I'm quite relieved. Someone older than me!
