I love black wires and agree the combination is more vintage. Montague's car looks much better with the change. Black alloys look great as well. Agree with the above, Quicksilver's Dove Grey over black wires is an inspired choice  I was always a huge fan of Sport Grey, but Dove Grey with black wires is now my favourite colour combination on a Morgan. Thanks. Chrome wires can also look great - depends on the colour of the car. But I find chrome wires are not a good match on grey cars. I love black wires and agree the combination is more vintage. What is your secret mine look filthy after 5 miles especially the rears Never driving the car helps ! Only kidding - I just find they don't show up the muck too badly and when they do, they are easy to clean with a damp sponge. Unlike chrome wires, black ones don't need to be gleaming and sparkly.

Having a car with black wire wheels for four years, I can now clearly say, what is the best solution between chrome and black wire wheels....... ALLOYS!!!!!!!

I changed my wheels from silver to …dark silver Before: And after: Much better. A traditionally styled car always looks better when the wheels are the same colour as the upholstery. And black is cool AF anyway.
