Looks like I've cured my rattle. Having already removed the side screen polar seal and replaced it with some really thick neoprene to take up more than enough slack to rely on tension to stop the rattle, I didn't like the look of it, and felt it could put a strain on the side screen fittings. I've removed this and replaced it with thinner neoprene, on both sides that the sides reen meets the pillar, but the key was adjusting the side screens so that when the door is closed, the front of the sidescreen pushes firmly into the neoprene and is held in with friction. I then used very thin slices of the neoprene which I pushed into the top channel where the fixed perspex sits to stop these rattle also. Bingo, no more rattling. Next rattle to cure is the hood frame as the rivots are very slightly lose and rattle on uneven ground. I guess some kind of strap would cure this.

I had a very similar symptom of the side windows rattling. But I did not have to readjust the windows. The reason was much simpler. The three screws that secure the front knurled nut for inserting the side window into the door were loose. Therefore the side window could give way, it was without tension and rattled constantly while driving. After I had carefully screwed these three wood screws firmly back into the wood, everything was perfect as on the first day. But of course, tighten these three wood screws only with the door open or completely without the side window inserted. Do not fasten them to the frame against the tension of the plug-in window.

Here I've used 20mm wide 3mm thick neoprene on the pillar where the front of the sidescreen presses against, and 2 layers where the pillar meets the side of the screen. The result is much neater than before.
