I recently posted pictures (in the Maintenance and Servicing forum) of my 1997 Plus 8 before and after 6 -months refurb during which the original wings - front and rear - were replaced. I have kept the original wings and I am wondering what to do with them. Any and all ideas welcome. (Possible uses: cut up for ash trays or paper weights, mount above fireplace, create art installation? I just can’t bring myself to bin them!

Looks like the wings are the least of their worries.

Always fancied a flatrad conversion to a modern car ... wouldn't have done it like that though!! 🙂

Seems like a good price, there must be 8k's worth of bits on that car, if I was building a kit car it could be handy. The Ally chassis could be a good source of sheet metal for brackets and such.

Tim, its a trad, no ally chassis. And trads are repairable:

Bargained down the price a bit, I don't think the offer is that bad. If the woodframe and rear body is okay.

May be a guy like André Koopmann (which I know as a very skilled Morgan mechanic) could make use of your wings?

Sorry, I saw the 'Plus' and assumed it was CX.But in the UK its insurance categorisation means that it would not be legal to repair the car and retain its identity, you'd have to use the components in something else.
