Hello Andy: the only problem is the one you just pointed out: they have a magnet, but obviousy it doesn't work on our aluminium bodies.

But as long as you carry one, and can put it somewhere in the car (roll hoops, fuel cap, or any other part made out of steel, luggage rack...) that allows the light to be seen, it should be OK.

I guess you can simply put it on the bags or the back as long as it doesn't fall off. The rules say nothing about those V16 lights to be fixed (via magnet, suction cup or whatever). It says you just need to carry one and put it on the car in case of emergency.

I've been told that as long as you are escorted by a member of the Speedy Marmots through Spain, that you can't be ticketed. A kind of "M3W Diplomatic Immunity". Just a rumor, I've no idea if this is actually true.

My best regards

Hi Javier, sorry for the delay in replying to you. We'll surely meet up some day, either in Spain or Portugal. Let me know when you come here, I will do the same next time I go to Spain. I am planning a (round) trip through Europe next October (Lisbon-Nurburgring-Lisbon) but it will be done with my Plus4, maybe we can meet then, during the Spanish part of the journey!

Marmota - Some of us run without a front licence plate - do you know if this may be a problem in Spain?

Hello Andy. It shouldn't as you're not a Spanish registered vehicle. HEre the 3-Wheelers are not a motorcycle nor a car, but a category of their own: 3-wheeled vehicles. And many of those don't wear a front plate anyway (Canam, old Piaggo vans, etc.).
