At Lulworth cove today the eatery by the beach had its price board on display, a large range of food with everything priced up for all to see except.. pasties and sausage rolls. On enquiring I was told the sausage rolls were £4.40 each!
Supply and demand at its finest.

That's why the shelves at places like Aldi (just a five minute stroll from the beach) are emptied by the day trippers, who didn't plan ahead. Council has banned BBQ's in the parks and beaches, so its a cold food picnic, but people don't seem to mind. You can get 4 ice creams for just over a £1 at Aldi compared to about £3/4 each at the ice cream kiosk. The kid's don't mind where it comes from, unfortunately despite all the strategically placed rubbish bins, the littering was getting out of hand till the Council contracted a company to handout and collect £80 fines for littering

Another scam. "The man said he had been 'distracted' by the driver when he went to make a card payment". Such a shame. Of course the driver may have been rather tasty.... Or the passenger may have been thinking about lunch, at today's exchange rate that charge could have bought him 168 sausage rolls.

Try dropping someone off at an airport. I took my son to Gatwick this morning, no baggage he just hopped out. Entry 4:15am, exit 4:18am. Charge £5.

It's the same at Heathrow, though if you drop or pick up your passengers at Hatton Cross station the tube is free from there to and from the terminals. But no doubt they'll get wise to that one soon!
