MORGAN SUPER 4

.........just for lovers of "FOUR" wheels and, perhaps, an antagonist of the iconic "SEVEN"

I imagine with the right gearing a Morgan "Super Four" would be so economic there would be little need to go electric.......

Thanks for the heads up Richard, what a little beauty..

I guess there must be some sort of low production adjustment to work around the type approval regs etc.etc.etc.

If you are referring to the vid link I posted OZ, then I`m pleased you thought it worth posting, I found it an interesting insight to creating a perspective of perfection... Something it seems many a Morganeer has been involved with from day one in terms of modifying their Morgans to suit their personal ideals, though it seems some may create a FrankenMorgan by introducing a measure of imballance that dillutes the driving experience to some degree..?

M3W55 thanks for the heads up. IVA.. as in Individual Vehicle Approval. I thought there would have to be a work around the type approval and other regs for a "new" vehicle, or one that is considerably modified from O.E. Spec. in the UK.. As for elsewhere..I suspect there could be complications..

I`m guessing Singer, as in the case of modified Porsches, used originally registered cars as a basis for his modifications to work around the regs that exist in various parts of the world, perhaps by using vehicles originally registered in the country in which the purchaser resides, or intends to register the vehicle...Though I have no idea as most unfortunately I am unlikely to have the purchasing power to contemplate the purchase of a Singerised 964... (-:

As ever there are purists in the world of Porsche as there will be found relative to every marque, and in the Porsche world such fundamentalists seemingly decry the ba**ardisation of 964`s by Singer.. Each to their own.

For sure, regulations can complicate the desire to keep it simple...KISS. But then such has been the evolution of expectations in the UK which followed the US into the litigious society we have become, to the extent that modifying a failing brake system to ensure it operates using proven components from an alternative supplier is a much larger risk today than it was but a few years back when the average Morganeer might be spanner happy and modifying many and varied aspects of his Morgan as a matter of course... Seems to me that the UK has legislated it`s self out of a job in so many ways... Yeah, it must be the heat, Grumpy old man has kicked in and hung around for a while it seems...!

OZ, if you enjoyed that vid you might like to beam this one up, if you can stick with it past the usual Top Gear drifting to impress the kids at the beginning...? Of course you have to be prepared for the usual autojourno over emphasis of everything..? However most interesting for me was that the tester enthused relative to the ability to enjoy the mix of car and road at lower than ballistic speeds, which I read as driver participation/enjoyment without total disregard for the law of the land, and which was one of the reasons I shifted away from the 911 around the time the 993 launched, going off in search exactly that, eventually ending up buying my Morgan.. There is a car there, crying to be made.
Priced under the Plus Four I'd be very tempted...
