With the safety recall currently underway, the Morgan dealer network is somewhat busy.
I’ve encountered this when booking the annual service and MoT.
I’ve agreed with my local dealer to just carry out the MoT next week, rather than the more extensive service we had planned.
This will now be carried out later in the year, once the majority of recall work has been completed.
I could probably skip one dealer service, but with 17 consecutive dealer annual service stamps, I want to make it 18!
Stanley remains a pampered 4/4 and the mechanics will receive their (annual) choccie biscuits as an energy boost.
(This year - Wagon Wheels! Yes they are still made.)

I was just about to book my Berrybrook annual stamp too. You’ve saved me a phone call. I suspected that there might be a bit of a delay at the moment. At least we can still drive our cars....

Why not just check all lights then book car in to local MOT shop. Suggest avoiding tyre and battery chains though..You can then relax and get annual dealer service stamp at your leisure.

Yes I've taken my Morgan's to a local independent for the last 19 years for MOT but I do my own servicing etc. Ironically I called BB for an MOT 19 years ago and they couldn't do it at the time so that made my mind up, I stumbled across a small family run business and they said drive it in and we'll do it now and happy still with great honest service.

It has never impacted on the resale value not having dealer stamps and I know it's all been done.

How do you know, you’ve not tried to sell your plus 8 yet 😉

I have sold a previous one for the full asking price Craig laugh2 and have had good offers for this one too and it's not even for sale so it's not a concern for me wink...

I strongly suspect the buyer of my Morgan was delighted to hear it had not been
anywhere an authorised Morgan dealer since the warranty ran out and the suspension issues were fixed.
He couldn't wait to pay the full asking price and drive away....

There are a small number of dealers I would trust Craig, but there are a couple I would not go near, based on personal experiences.

Dealers work on a time based approach, whereas an experienced home mechanic can take whatever time it takes. And if there's a folder with everything saved, this is just as valid as a dealer stamp.

My Roadster had three dealer services when I bought it, but the gearbox oil was never checked, even at PDI. One dealer had butchered one of the exhaust brackets when they fitted the sports exhaust. Both had a good reputation, but evidence trumps opinion. grin2

I would have gone for a dealer stamp after my first year, but the dealer in question really buggered me about. Wanted the Roadster for a week. Offered an old Metro as a loan car, which I was invited to insure. Guess what happened?

There are plenty of good Morgan garages that used to be dealers ! Trust them more than the large dealerships that are now agents !
Maybe Williams are the exception.
