the factory amp in my series 5 is in the passenger footwell... mine is chassis #80, without the AV controls. It's entirely possible that yours was built differently!

My series 5 was one of the later ones (not sure of the chassis number, is there a way of finding out?). So I guess Morgan were trying to reduce their costs perhaps. Slightly disappointing given the price of the option but now all history.

Ian if you look in the front windscreen you will see the top wood bar on the dash. It should be on a metal stamped plate on the end of the wood. It's a bonus if it match's the V5 right!

Thanks Alistair, there is a metal plate with the long VIN number on the top wood bar, does that correlate to chassis no. perhaps the bigger question is whether there is an official chassis no. at all?

Ian, the last 4 numbers of your VIN will be your chassis number. On my S4 also stamped on the chassis just beside the main ally fuse box under the bonnet on the drivers side.

If you look on the V5 it should provide you with the number the DVLA expect so you can check.

In the engine bay, on the firewall in front of the drivers feet, near the metal fuse/smarts box you will see the car chassis plate which has the same number stamped on it.

So my chassis is 4021, (built in April 2017 with build no. 100934) what does body code "M09044" mean? does this mean Aero body?
