Good evening all,
I wonder if anyone can help with info regarding E5 fuel locations ( NC500), I thought perhaps there might be somewhere in Thurso that has it.

I am fairly sure having driven the NW500 a couple of years ago there is E5 at Tesco in Wick.

I seems to remember the Gulf station only sells 95 octane.

Sometimes in the remote outposts of Scotland I'm happy to throw in half a tank of the local brew. I try to keep over half a tank for that very reason.

Sometimes in the remote outposts of Scotland I'm happy to throw in half a tank of the local brew. I try to keep over half a tank for that very reason. Yep, I fill up every 250 miles or so and at touring speeds that's just over 20 litres, so an occasional glug of E10 isn't going to be a problem. But having said that, this year I had no problem at all finding E5. Didn't go as far as Thurso though.

There’s only one place in Thurso selling super unleaded (179.9p/litre).

we used Petrol Map on our 3 week trip round Scotland in June. It indicates 3 garages in Thurso that say they offer premium petrol. Enjoy your trip.
