Just to confirm Tim - this is a 2015 .... This refers to the body ONLY...? The theory is all the chassis cracking issues were resolved in 2014 - or may be not.....

Thank you for your replies.
It was registered new in 2015, but had a chassis replacement done by the factory in November 2021.
The cracks go completely through the cross piece.
Does that piece of the body provide structural integrity or "just" hold the body together? If the latter I could probably drive carefully to help.

If it's just the orange painted part in the photo it is purely cosmetic although it is part of the body structure and not structural chassis.
Chances are it will get worse and will require welding at some point in the future.

Certainly not a structural bit, just cosmetic bodywork. Not great still and it should be fixed at some point but not something that will stop you driving the car. Not seen any bodywork cracks like that before, I wonder why it has happened?

It may have been repainted plus excessive varnish resulting in a heavy build which is less flexible than aluminum.

Tim I wonder if putting an old body on a new chassis (with attendant manufacturing differences) might have caused additional stresses to the bodywork here??

Tim Just to be clear Tim. Is this a 2015 vehicle and it had a full chassis replacement in 2021 ? Why would a 2015 require a chassis replacement? When was the vehicle actually built?
