Agreed, the Moto Guzzi 90° V twin (big or small block) is a totally different animal from the narrow angle S & S. Much smoother both at top and bottom end of rev range.


One wonders what the M3W would have been like with a tweaked MG California 1400. Sadly, the 850 is the largest E5 compliant air cooled block that they offer now.

5,800 rpm is the standard limit but I seem to recall that S&S also offered uprated valve springs which raised the limit to something like 6,300. I'll see if I can find more details.

At S&S they still have the USB waterproof socket available for the Delphi box, I personally made one because access is not very practical.
